2003, Transform Nextel “Re-engineering a Failure into a Success”

Engineered the acquisition of Nextel Communications Phil., Inc. via management buy out (MBO) from Nextel International Inc. and ACCRA Investment Inc. and transformed the company from negative P11B pesos equity to positive P3B. In 2005, partnered with Intel to launch Wimax in the country. In 2006, his company submitted to the government an unsolicited BOT proposal for a nationwide broadband network (NBN). Another group emerged to have won the NBN project with ZTE — not as BOT but as a government to government project.
