The Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Orange County (FACCOC)

February 13, 2012
The Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Orange County (FACCOC)

The Filipino American Chamber of Commerce of Orange County (FACCOC) became one of the first recipients in the United States of an advanced digital media portal, NowPlanet.TV, developed by Information Capital Technology Ventures, Inc. (ICTV), a listed Philippine-based company engaged in the development and distribution of diversified technology services.

Going global. This is what member organizations of the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce Orange County (FACCOC) envisions in its engagement with NowPlanet.TV in this recent U.S. launch of its cutting edge social-mobile (SoMo) platform that leverages on HTML5 technologies to provide the best viewing experience for smartphone and tablet device users. FACCOC has created their own NowPlanet channel to extend the reach of its member organizations to prospective clients anywhere in the world.

NowPlanet.TV was launched conjunction with FACCOC’s first workshop of the year, “Improving Your Personal and Business Relationships” on February 16, 2012 at the Crowne Plaza Anaheim Resort, 12021 Harbor Blvd., Garden Grove, CA.

In his speech, President & CEO of ICTV, Mel Velarde expressed to the audience that, “You need a social channel that could express the brilliance and the depth of your expertise, which you have acquired through the years. Remember, Disney only had Mickey, which was a mouse. Then it became a channel. Hallmark, was just printing greeting cards. But they made it a channel of positive emotions. National Geographic was just a magazine. You could read it. Only to be read but now, it’s a channel of adventure and personal exploration beyond the ordinary. ”

To start launching your own channel or for media companies interested in re-broadcasting our LIVE feed, please send an email to marcom@nowplanet.tv.
